My Hero - Srikanth Bolla
He is Srikanth Bolla, a 24 year old blind entrepreneur from Hyderabad, and he is my hero from now on. When he was born, his parents, who were earning Rs 20,000 in a year, were advised to get rid of him, but somehow he survived.
Despite getting 90% in class 10th, he was not allowed to chose Science stream for 12th; he sued the State Govt., fought for 6 months, and won the case. He scored 98% with Science in 12th.
When IITs and NITs didnt give him hall ticket for writing competitive exams, he applied overseas, and got selected in 4 of the best colleges ever created on Earth: MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon. He chose Massachusetts Institute of Technology, received a scholarship, and was MIT's first International blind student.
After returning from US in 2012, he launched Bollant Industries, where 60% of employees are poor, physically challenged. This 450 employees company is now worth Rs 50 crore, and even Ratan Tata had to invest in him.
As per him, “I was made blind by the perception of people.." When the world said to him that you can't do anything, Bolla said, "But I look up at the world and say I can do anything."
Yes, he is my hero from now on..
Kung Fu Panda
3 biggest lessons which I learnt while watching Kung Fu Panda, which I would describe as the most naked, explosive, powerful Zen movie I ever saw on big screen:
- The more you take, the less you have (this was the 'Satori' moment of my life..!)
- Are you confused in identifying yourself: Are you a student? a Teacher? The entrepreneur? An employee? The father? The son? Daughter? The answer is that you are 'All of them' at the same time (the moment of realization!)
- The purpose isn't to become like your hero.. the purpose is to become like you.. Because only you can find the answers. (the most powerful lesson any teacher can give to his students.. become YOU!)
So, before going for Ki Ka with your spouse, I will strongly recommend watching Kung Fu Panda 3, alone.. You will understand a lot of things about yourself.

Wake Up Early
Franklin was up before dawn every day, because he knew that the quiet solitude of early morning is the best time to compose yourself, get clear about your goals and the direction of your life. He would take 3 hours to read, study, plan and prepare for the day ahead – all before breakfast!
We all know what it’s like to oversleep. The alarm doesn’t go off for some reason, and you open your eyes to find that you have to be at work in only ten minutes. You leap out of bed, throw your clothes on, and rush out the door, feeling hurried and frazzled and completely out-of-sorts.
For some of us, this is an everyday occurrence!
Now imagine what life would be like if you had 3 full hours to get ready for your day. You can wash, dress, make breakfast, read the news, all at a leisurely pace. No rushing, no stress, just relaxing, enjoying your morning, and taking your time to fully wake up.
Ahhh… doesn’t that feel great?
